Head Teacher's Message

Chelsea Academy is sponsored by the Church of England and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea; it emphasizes strong academic provision and unparalleled pastoral care with a Christian ethos. The school day is longer with six 55-minute lessons; there is a broad curriculum, a distinctive Sixth Form offering focused on A Levels, a substantial Extended Curriculum, wraparound care (breakfast and after-school clubs), and partnerships that support student development.

Curriculum Highlights

Curriculum anchored in Christian Values and fully inclusive; celebrates diversity. Subjects include core, creative, academic and vocational pathways. Develops resilience, reflection, resourcefulness and responsibility in learners. Provides pathways for academic success and prepares students for tomorrow's world. Extended Curriculum enhances the academic curriculum and offers experiences beyond taught lessons (visits, theatre, sports, competitions, public speaking). Pastoral Curriculum addresses issues of growing up in modern Britain and safety; regular involvement in public life and character education. The Extended Curriculum includes a wide range of after-school clubs and opportunities funded in part by the Chelsea Academy Foundation. Sixth Form focus on A Level programmes (including some not offered locally) with opportunities such as Higher Education and Careers guidance. The Chelsea Academy Learning Cloud (CALC) provides access to school emails, calendars and Google Drive.
