Headteacher Cath Piercy describes Childwall Abbey as a Local Authority specialist secondary school for pupils with Complex Learning Difficulties, aged 11-19, emphasising a calm, safe and welcoming place where staff and pupils work together to achieve, with close collaboration with parents/carers and agencies to develop independence and self-esteem.
