Head Teacher's Message

Headteacher Paddy Russell welcomes visitors and describes Ladybridge as a wonderfully diverse and friendly school with over 30 languages spoken, emphasising that staff care about learners’ wellbeing and academic progress, and aiming to help learners develop knowledge, direction and moral purpose to thrive in the future.

Curriculum Highlights

Knowledge (Grammar): building a rich knowledge base with a coherently constructed and sequenced curriculum and a developing vocabulary. Exploration (Dialetic): learners use foundational knowledge to form their own ideas, through real-world experiences, debate, project-based learning and reflection. Communication (Rhetoric): focus on public performance, writing, presentations and other forms of communication to develop clear, articulate expression.

SEND Provision

Pupil Premium Grant is used to support learners in four areas: Technology Support (devices and internet access), Financial Advice and Guidance (benefits and money management), Family/Finance/Food support, Academic (subject tutoring and interventions, including D6 Saturday sessions), Extra-Curricular opportunities, Emotional wellbeing and pastoral care, and Welfare (assistance with equipment and uniform).
