The Meadows School educates students with complex, profound and multiple learning difficulties, associated communication and language difficulties and challenging behaviours, between the ages of 11-19.
The Meadows School is a community special school maintained by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, educating students aged 11-19 with severe learning difficulties (including profound and multiple learning difficulties), complex autism, and sensory processing difficulties. All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Admission occurs following a referral by the Local Education Authority, with assessment places arranged on an individual case by case basis by the local authority. The published admission number (PAN) is 215, including sixth form. The sixth form provision will be arranged between parents/carers, school and SMBC through the transitional EHCP review process, supported by the Connexions adviser Pam Brown. All admissions are dealt with by Assistant Headteacher Sam Forbes.
