A joint Roman Catholic/Church of England secondary school provided jointly by the Diocese of Salford and the Diocese of Manchester.
Headteacher Mrs K Ames welcomes visitors and explains Holy Family as a joint faith college serving Catholic and Anglican students in Heywood. The message emphasizes a Christ‑centred education with a mission to instill Faith, Integrity, Compassion, Perseverance and Community, meet diverse learning needs with pastoral care, and celebrate students’ achievements in a school that is proud to be oversubscribed.
For Year 7 admissions (Sept 2025 intake), published admission number is 150. Up to 75 places will be allocated to Roman Catholic pupils and up to 75 to Church of England pupils. The Governors welcome applications from other Christian churches and other faiths, and no faith, as reflected in the admissions criteria. Oversubscription criteria will apply as described in the Admissions Policy. The school will admit all children with a statement of SEN or an EHCP named for the school. Admissions are coordinated by Rochdale Council; apply on the Local Authority form; faith-based applications require completion of the school's online supplementary form.
