Charging policy states that charges can be made for activities organized by the school in certain circumstances. Costs of visits and excursions will be kept to a minimum and are often met by voluntary contributions; no child or family will be excluded on grounds of financial hardship. Remissions are available for parents in receipt of income support or family credit for residential activities that take place in school hours or form part of the National Curriculum. Contribitions for educational visits and other activities are usually voluntary, with the Governors aiming to subsidise costs where possible. General policy also notes that no child will be excluded for financial reasons and that annual reminders and fundraising may support subsidised activities; the school also notes a separate policy for after-school clubs (£6 per session) and for school journeys and other activities.
