The college is the oldest sixth form college in the country with a long track record of Ofsted good or outstanding, and aims to provide the best possible teaching and support to enable progression to university, apprenticeships or employment.

Admissions Criteria

Applications for September 2026 are open. To apply you must be aged 16 or 17 on 31 August 2026 and be a permanent UK resident. The admissions process includes an online application, provision of a reference and GCSE grades or predictions, an interview, and a conditional offer following assessment. There are transition and enrolment steps (Transition Day, enrolment appointments, timetable issuance) and a new student induction.
