Admissions Criteria

HNC offers three Pathways with different entry requirements: A Level Pathway requires a minimum of 6 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, with GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above; Blended Pathway requires 5 GCSEs at 4+ with Maths and English at 4+; Applied Pathway requires 5 GCSEs at 4+ with GCSE Maths or English at 4+ (one resit permitted) and not below 3; Full-time Applied Pathway requires 5 GCSEs at 4+ including English/Maths and a vocational qualification substituted for a GCSE where applicable. Attendance expectations are 95%+ and admissions interviews are used to assess suitability; predicted grades determine eligible Pathways and courses; detailed subject entry criteria are on the courses information page.
