Carmel College is a Catholic sixth form college that welcomes students from all backgrounds; it is built on Catholic education principles and upholds Gospel values of justice, love, peace, reconciliation and concern for the disadvantaged. The Chaplaincy provides opportunities for prayer, reflection and spiritual growth, and the college discusses important social, moral and religious issues through its RE curriculum and the Carmel Contemplation programme.
