South Thames Colleges Group provides a dedicated Foundation Learning/SEND provision for 16-25-year-olds with significant learning and social communication support needs. The provision includes an integrated programme of practical skills and qualifications supported by an in-house therapy team offering Speech & Language and Occupational Therapy. Needs of new students are assessed by tutors and therapists to create a three-year Progression Pathway. The programme builds independent living skills, develops communication, social and independence skills, enhances numeracy and literacy skills, provides access to work experience, embeds IT skills, and offers enrichment opportunities, with collaboration with parents and carers to transfer learning to home.
