Welcome from Headteacher Claire Fletcher inviting families to Penn Wood and describing the school as a warm, inclusive community with high expectations and the motto 'Better Never Stops'.
Penn Wood has an Inclusion team and SEND team; safeguarding and well-being provisions are in place, with a dedicated Inclusion team and SEND team to support pupils with special educational needs.
Admission is allocated by Slough Borough Council with priority order: 1) Looked after child or previously looked after; 2) Exceptional Medical / Social Need; 3) Sibling (in the school or linked) ; 4) Children of Staff; 5) Catchment Area; 6) Distance from home to the school; if tie, distance is used or drawn lots.
The first 15 hours are provided free of charge through government funding and some families may be entitled to 30 hours of free childcare. If not eligible for 30 hours, you are still entitled to 15 hours of free childcare and may pay for additional hours. There is a charge of £5 per day for all full-day nursery children to cover the additional time over and above 30 hours over lunchtime.
