Breakfast Club runs 7:45am–8:45am; cost £3.00 per day, per child. After School Club runs 3:10pm–6:00pm and is run by Awesome Childcare (Ofsted reg no. 2643602). Holiday play schemes are also available through Awesome Childcare.
Alexandra Primary School provides additional and/or different provision for a range of needs including communication and interaction, cognition and learning, social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, and sensory and/or physical needs. The school identifies pupils who may have additional needs through regular progress reviews, with the SENDCO coordinating support. Interventions include Daily Supported Reading (DSR), Read Write Inc (RWI) Phonics, Talkboost, Lego Therapy, Word Aware small groups, intensive interaction, Talk About Social Skills, fine and gross motor skills, one-to-one/small group language sessions, counselling, and learning mentor support. External services available include Haringey’s Educational Psychology Service, Language and Autism Service Team (LAST), Occupational Therapy, Hearing Impairment/Visual Impairment Services, Speech, Language and Communication Service, Early Years’ Inclusion Service, and Markfield Project. If a child has an EHCP, provision is discussed with parents. The Local Authority Offer is linked in the policy, and feedback from families is sought regularly.
