RE is statutory and taught outside the National Curriculum following the Wiltshire Agreed Syllabus using the Emmanuel Project.

Curriculum Highlights

Reception follows the Early Years Foundation Stage. Core subjects are English, Maths and Science, with seven foundation subjects: History, Geography, Design & Technology, Art, Music, Physical Education and Computing. Religious Education is statutory and taught outside of the National Curriculum following the Wiltshire Agreed Syllabus using the Emmanuel Project. PSHE programme and French taught in years 3-6; Well-being programme introduced since September 2022. Twinkl Phonics is used to teach synthetic phonics; Rhino Readers support reading development across Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and into Key Stage 2. Curriculum is evolving with a two-year cycle to ensure complete coverage for mixed-age classes; inclusive and differentiated for SEND; complies with the Equality Act 2010 and SEND Regulations 2014.
