Headteacher Clare Bradbury describes Oakwood as a thriving, inclusive school balancing academic excellence with pupil wellbeing, a strong focus on outdoor learning and sustainability, and opportunities for children to grow with confidence.
Wraparound care includes Breakfast Club and After School Care and Activities; wraparound care is available for 50 weeks of the year; Camp Little Oaks operates during most school holidays.
Oakwood School is non-selective in its intake, provided that a child can cope with mainstream education. The majority of children are admitted either to Little Oaks Pre-School or to Reception in the September following their fourth birthday. We are always happy to consider children for admission further up the school if places are available.
