Curriculum Highlights

Curriculum is designed to be cross-curricular where possible and taught in cohesive blocks with flexibility for staff to tailor delivery. The curriculum outlines for each year group are produced for the half term and are accessible to parents. The school collaborates with the Sussex Maths Hub to strengthen Mathematics through high-quality CPD and a partnership with Maths specialists; White Rose units are linked to year group units. There are dedicated Curriculum pages for each subject (e.g., Art, Computing, DT, English, Maths, Music, RE, PSHE, Geography, History, MFL, Science) and access to a National Curriculum overview. West Park is a Beach School, using the local environment to develop independent and teamwork skills.

Admissions Criteria

Admissions are via the Pupil Admissions Office on behalf of the Local Authority. Children start full‑time at the beginning of the academic year in which they turn five; part‑time options available until that term. Out‑of‑area applicants should contact the Education Office for a place and induction details. Mid‑year admissions are handled by the Education Office. Special Support Facilities admissions are arranged through the Special Educational Needs Team.
