Curriculum Highlights

My Thinking curriculum exposes mathematics, science and computing through varied, individualised and bespoke learning opportunities. Curriculum is designed around the National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage with progression maps (e.g., switch progression document) and My Thinking strands of maths and science. Pupils experience a multi-sensory approach to learning with progression from continuous provision to discrete, sequenced lessons. Assessment in maths and computing provides evidence of progression through respective tools and pupil work in their journals/evidence books. Pupils aim to understand the world, reason mathematically, and become independent with maths and technology where possible.

Admissions Criteria

Admission to Evergreen School is managed through the local authority. Pupils attending Evergreen may be working significantly below expected levels of cognition and learning; placement is based on suitability and capacity. An admissions panel meets monthly and may involve representatives from Warwickshire SENDAR and Warwickshire specials schools. If the local authority offers a place, contact the school to discuss bespoke transition and meeting the child/young person, including discussions with parents and the previous setting/school.
