Curriculum Highlights

GCSE begins in the B1 year with students typically taking seven subjects; compulsory subjects include Maths, English Language, English Literature (or an EAL option) and Music; most pupils study German; two further subjects may be Biology, Chemistry and History; possible GCSEs in students' own language; languages taken include French, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Russian, Japanese and Chinese. At A Level, all pupils take Music and usually one or two further A Levels; many pupils continue German and may take Goethe Institute qualification; A Level subjects include Maths, English Literature, Biology, Chemistry, History and German; option to take an A Level in a pupil's own language. Alongside musical studies, pupils participate in sporting and extra-curricular activities, including the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
