St Bede’s is an ecumenical Christian school supported by the Catholic Diocese of Arundel & Brighton and the Anglican Diocese of Southwark; there are three chaplains (Catholic, Anglican and Free Church) and worship is carried out in an ecumenical and denominationally diverse manner; the school emphasises belonging, inclusivity and pastoral care as part of its Christian ethos.

Curriculum Highlights

Broad and balanced curriculum accessible and ambitious for all students (including those from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with SEND). All students study English language, English literature, maths and RE to GCSE. Approximately 90 pupils per year take the three separate sciences; others take double science. Most students study history, geography and at least one modern foreign language.

SEND Provision

SEND provision includes in-class support for pupils with EHCPs, a dedicated learning space for withdrawal groups, specialist literacy/numeracy and social skills interventions, support for examinations, and access to external agencies for a range of needs.
