For Sixth Form, applicants should have at least 5 GCSE passes (grade 6 or above) with at least grade 6 in the subjects they wish to study; in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics a minimum grade 7 at GCSE is required. Admissions begin with a conversation about subject choices and career paths. Assessments include Maths, English and non-verbal reasoning (NVR) together with an interview with the Principal or Deputy Head Academic. Successful performance at the Assessment Day leads to an invitation to a Taster Day. For international students, standardised tests, an English language test and a Zoom interview are required. Interviews are typically in person but may be conducted on Zoom; SEND support may involve assessment as needed.
