Admissions Criteria

Avalon School is a secondary special school for young people in Years 11-14 with an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP). All students have complex learning needs and require a specialist setting. Somerset Council commissions places within each of our schools; if the agreed places are filled and others seek places, places may be allocated in negotiation with the county council at a casework panel, and there may be deferral until capacity allows.
