Before school care is available from 7:30am to 8:45am; after school options and care run until 6:00pm with activities in performing arts, music, and sports.
Overstone Park Therapeutic School is approved and registered by the DFE as an independent educational institution specially organised to make special educational provision for students with special educational needs; provides personalised education and care with a multi-professional approach; uses TEACCH, PECS, MAKATON; EHCPs are supported; strong partnership with parents.
On admission a baseline assessment is undertaken and a Provision Map and an Individual Behaviour Plan are developed; the child must have an Education, Health & Care Plan or be in the process of obtaining one; placement must be supported by the referring Local Authority; parents must be prepared to work in partnership; the Principal must be satisfied that the school can meet the child’s needs; travel distance is considered; fees may be flexible and negotiated.
Fees for EHCP placements are managed by the relevant Local Authorities; the school is flexible with fees and negotiates according to the individual needs of each child.
