"Be the Best You Can Be"
Church of England Primary School (Diocesan Board of Education - Diocese of Peterborough)
Headteacher Neil Tyler explains the school aims to be the best academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually within a safe, healthy, inspirational and enjoyable environment. He notes eight school values (Love, Peace, Courage, Thankfulness, Kindness, Service, Forgiveness and Truth) and highlights a progressive, well-rounded curriculum and a strong partnership with parents and the community to help children reach their full potential.
The Hive provides nurture provision for social, emotional and mental health needs; it is a structured provision opened in Spring 2021 where small groups of children attend, typically four mornings a week, designed to meet academic, social, emotional and developmental needs. The provision follows Nurture UK principles, including understanding that learning is developmental, ensuring a safe base, building self-esteem, using language as a tool for communication, recognizing that behaviour communicates needs, and supporting transitions. The aims are to raise achievement and inclusion, develop relational regulation and restorative approaches, and enable collaboration with outside agencies when required. The Inclusion Manager, Mrs Sharon Marsh, can be contacted for more information.
