On behalf of everyone involved with the school I would like to welcome you to our vibrant and happy community. We are a one form entry primary school with a pre-school, dedicated to partnership with families and ensuring each child reaches their potential in a caring environment.

Curriculum Highlights

National Curriculum objectives are covered across a 2-year planning period. Curriculum is organised into whole school themes: Rackheath Rocks, Epic Elements and Let's Get Moving. Knowledge Organisers detail key learning each term, with downloads for each year group. Termly Knowledge Organisers include: Epic Elements (Reception; Year 1 and 2; Year 3 and 4; Year 5 and 6), Rackheath Rocks, Our Wonderful World, To Infinity and Beyond, Kingdoms and Conquerors, Healthy Me, A Drop in the Ocean, The World Outside Our Window. Knowledge Organisers and Skills Maps exist for Art, Computing, DT, Geography, Historical Enquiry, Modern Foreign Languages, Music, Physical Health and Science. Skills Maps are used to track progress across the school.

Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

After School Club runs from the end of the school day until 5:30pm; places for 30 children; cost £10 per session. Breakfast Club runs from 7:45am to 8:45am (introduced Sept 2023) and costs £4.50 per child per session (including breakfast). Snacks provided during the session; bookings through the school office.

Financial Information

Universal Free School Meals for Reception to Year 2; KS2 school meals cost £2.84 per lunch. Since September 2023, meals are booked and paid online via SCOPAY. Parents may bring packed lunches; please avoid fizzy drinks, chocolate/sweets and glass bottles. Entitlement to Free School Meals is checked via eligible benefits; applications can be made through the school office or on 0344 800 8020.
