A Very warm welcome to our wonderful school! Ashleigh Primary School is a Foundation school which caters for children from Reception to Year Six. We have been serving the Darwen area for a hundred years. We are very proud of our school with its vibrant and stimulating learning environment. We are determined to make every child's life here a rich and rewarding experience so they leave with a love of learning, high self-esteem, pride in their success and ready to enjoy the challenges in life.

Admissions to the Reception Class for September 2025: apply by 15 January 2026. To apply, collect an application pack from the school (Blackburn with Darwen Primary Schools Admissions booklet) or apply online on the Blackburn with Darwen website. By 16 April 2026, you will receive a Council letter indicating whether a place has been offered. If offered, you must formally accept by the given date; otherwise the offer may be withdrawn. If unsuccessful, you may add your child’s name to the waiting list and/or appeal. Contact the school for a mutually convenient visit during the school day.
