Curriculum Highlights

Topic-based curriculum enabling immersion in theme-based learning; development of vocabulary, language and understanding. The National Curriculum is adapted by subject Leaders to meet the needs of our children; elements are sequenced to help children know more and remember more. The curriculum has children’s experiences, culture and locality at its heart; lessons are engaging, practical and collaborative. Movement is a vital part of learning; lessons include physical activity, brain breaks and active learning tasks. Reading, oracy and discussion are integral to writing; Talk for Writing opportunities are plentiful and reading supports comprehension and vocabulary development.
