Religious Education lessons and RSHE lessons reinforce the message of tolerance and respect for others. The school has well-established links to local places of worship that children visit throughout their time at Horsted, including synagogues, mosques and gurdwaras.
Horsted emphasises high expectations, happiness, confidence and resilience; learning is purposeful and linked to students’ experiences, with encouragement of independence and thoughtful decision-making.
The FLO provides pastoral support to parents/carers and works in close partnership with Horsted’s SENCo to support children with additional needs; liaises with staff and external agencies (including Family Solutions/Early Help) to identify and coordinate support.
All admissions to Horsted School are made via Medway Council.
From September 2025 the Cost of a School Dinner will be as follows: Years R, 1 and 2 are free; Years 3, 4, 5, and 6 are £2.65 per day; Payable in advance via Arbor.
