"Be kind, Be responsible, Be aspirational"
Bempton is a small village school with big ambitions for every child. The Headteacher emphasises that all children deserve the very best start, that staff build warm, trusting relationships to create a caring family, and that the school is committed to meeting the needs of every pupil to help all learners thrive. The mission includes providing a safe environment, a broad and enriching curriculum, and opportunities to develop personally and aspirationally from Early Years onwards.
Admissions are administered by East Riding of Yorkshire Council. There are two admission types: 'normal' admissions for starting Reception and 'in-year' admissions. The Local Authority coordinates applications; Bempton is not the admission authority for nursery. Bempton School is its own admission authority for nursery places and can offer up to 30 hours of nursery provision per week for children aged 3 and 4. For normal school places, apply to the Local Authority by the published deadline; in-year applications follow the Local Authority's coordinated admissions scheme. nursery admissions involve completing the nursery admission policy forms available from the school office.
