Little Acorns provides breakfast, lunch and after school childcare for children from Nursery to Year 2 and siblings. Breakfast club starts at 7:45 am. Tea Club runs after the school day, with activities in the hall and access to the outside area, including the treehouse, followed by a snack and discussion of the school day.

SEND Provision

The school provides SEND provision across Woolenwick Infant & Nursery and Woolenwick Junior School. Across both schools there are 92 pupils on the SEND Register; 13 have an EHCP and 9 more are going through EHCP applications; remaining pupils are SEND Support. Main needs include Speech, Language and Communication, ASD and ADHD. Progress is monitored via class assessments, termly Pupil Progress Meetings, termly data snapshots, and external reports when available. SEND support plans are written and reviewed under the guidance of the SENCO and Inclusion Team, with appropriate adjustments and interventions.

Admissions Criteria

Nursery admissions responsibility moved to each school from September 2017. Woolenwick Infant & Nursery aims to provide as many places as possible to local children. Admissions timeline is described in the Admissions Policy under the Statutory Documents tab. The Nursery Application 2026 is for children born between 01/09/2022 and 31/08/2023 who are eligible to start Nursery in September 2026.
