Ethos & Values

"What we nurture today, flourishes tomorrow."

Thirst for knowledge and love of learning Every child is unique and has a right to an inclusive curriculum Listen to the views of individual children and encourage them to listen to those around them Promote respect for diverse cultures, backgrounds and religions Spiritual and moral development, as well as intellectual and physical growth Value the rights of every person in our community and promote inclusion Equal opportunities for all pupils; treat every child with dignity, fairness and honesty Growth mindset; encourage trying and not fearing mistakes Respect for themselves and others; healthy relationships Understanding and challenging discrimination and prejudice; promote equality

As a Church School, we hold an act of collective worship every day of the week. The parish rector leads certain assemblies, as do other members of the village community. Our Christian 'fruit of the Spirit' (Galatians 5:22-23) are taught on a yearly cycle and are incorporated into our daily worship. Our nine fruit of the Spirit are: Kindness, Patience, Peace, Love, Goodness, Joy, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-control. Collectively worship is invitational and reflects the school’s values. SIAMS inspection June 2019 noted the school’s vision and inclusive ethos and the strong links with the church.
