Norwood Primary celebrates a diverse community and welcomes visits from members of the wider community. The school marks celebrations such as Eid, Diwali, Christmas and Easter, and its RE curriculum enables pupils to learn about different faiths and beliefs. The school encourages participation from parents and families in assemblies and events.
It is a pleasure to welcome you to Norwood Primary and Pre-School. Children and their learning are at the heart of all we do, and our motto is Explore, Inspire, Achieve & Flourish. Our staff and governors have high aspirations for every child and we encourage partnerships with families. We welcome visits or any required information about our school.
Clubs
Breakfast Club operates 7:45am–8:30am, term time only. It is located in the Nutbeem Hall; entry via the main Nutbeem door and is manned until 8:00am. Children must arrive by 8:15am if they wish to have breakfast. Session rate is £5.00 and includes a healthy breakfast (fruit juice, milky drink, cereals and/or toast with various toppings). Educational games and activities are provided after breakfast. The club is fully inclusive and open to all children who attend Norwood Primary School.
Primary entry to Year R in September 2026. Children born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 start in the school year beginning September 2026. Applications open 1 November 2025 and close 15 January 2026 for Hampshire residents. Applications should be made via Hampshire County Council; catchment areas can be checked using the Maps tool. Paper applications can be requested by calling 02380 322582. Notifications of offers for primary/infant places will be sent by the County Council on 16 April 2026. In-year applications are handled via the Hampshire County Council website, and if a place is available the school will respond in writing within 10 working days. If a place is offered, it must be taken up within 4 weeks of the offer.
