Head Teacher's Message

Executive Headteacher Tom May welcomes families and explains the Green Oaks Federation, comprising Oakwood Infant School and Greenfields Junior School, and the aim to nurture happy, responsible and respected members of the community.

Curriculum Highlights

Ambitious progression of knowledge in Music, Computing and Design & Technology with teachers skilled to lead learning effectively. High Quality Ordinarily Available Provision (OAP) supports the needs of pupils on SEN Support. End of Key Stage threshold tasks support accurate EoKS judgements. Maths mastery across the Federation with emphasis on fluency, reasoning and the use of precise mathematical language. Oracy practice across the curriculum with targeted interventions and meticulous planning.

Admissions Criteria

All school place applications are made through the Hampshire County Council Admissions website. Oakwood parents will need to apply for a Year 3 place at Greenfields in line with the normal admissions policy and process. From September 2026, four additional children will be admitted to Year 3, increasing class sizes from 30 to 32. Offers from the waiting list are made in line with the school's Admissions Policy, which can be read on the Policies page.
