Head Teacher's Message

A warm welcome from Executive Headteacher Amanda Mullett. The Wildground Federation comprises a teacher-led nursery, Wildground Infant School, Wildground Junior School, and three resourced provisions, and is described as inclusive, caring, and vibrant with a child-centered approach. The message highlights a strong reading culture, engagement through visitors and themed days, extensive after-school and lunch activities, and Ofsted praise for culture, curriculum development, and outcomes. The federation emphasizes personalised learning, high expectations, and excellent facilities and grounds.

A wide, rich set of experiences with visitors into school and external visits; themed days to enrich the curriculum; after school and lunch activities. Pastoral support from a Family Support Worker, ELSA and a SEMH resourced provision; emphasis on well-being and personal development.

SEND Provision

The Early Learning Group (Owls) at Wildground Federation is a joint initiative with the NHS that supports pre-school children with speech, language, and communication needs. The provision is referred and supported by an NHS therapist. We provide a high-quality, language-rich pre-school curriculum, along with tailored support programmes for children living in the Waterside and Totton areas. Children move on to a variety of partner schools in the academic year they turn five.
