Admissions Criteria

Chigwell School offers multiple entry points: 4+ (Pre Prep), 7+ (Prep), 11+ (Senior), 13+ (Senior), and 16+ (Sixth Form). For all entry points, there is an online registration with a non-refundable registration fee of £180 (including VAT). Assessment methods vary by entry: 4+ uses Early Years Foundation Stage activities in small group settings; 7+ uses group assessments with written and practical tasks and English and maths papers, with opportunities to meet the Head and Senior Deputy Head of the Prep School; 11+ involves a staff meeting/interview process and an English and maths entrance examination with a confidential report form to current school; 13+ includes entrance papers in English, maths and a modern foreign language; 16+ requires entrance tests, interviews and a current school report, with expectations of high A level prospective grades.
