Welcome to Bow Community Primary School. The Headteacher writes that the aim is to support and nurture all children so they thrive socially, emotionally and academically; the school is inclusive and safe with high expectations; core values are Resilience, Independence, Ambition and Achievement; the vision is to provide opportunities to shine and flourish through a broad and enriching curriculum.
Bow Community Primary School is a community school. Devon County Council is the admissions authority responsible for admissions policies and decisions on applications for admission. The school has an admissions policy for each academic year, written to comply with the School Admissions Code and the School Admissions Appeals Code, and it participates in the coordinated admissions schemes of Devon County Council. You can visit the school by appointment. Applications are made to the Local Authority. For Normal Round intake, children are offered places to start in Reception at the beginning of the September term after their fourth birthday; all Children are now admitted at the beginning of the Autumn Term if they were born between 1 September and 31 August inclusive. School starts at 8:55 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m. Parents who wish their child to be admitted at a younger age should apply to the County Admissions Team on 0345 155 1019.
