Senior School Admissions: Entrance Examination for Year 7 takes place in January each year, with tests in verbal and non-verbal reasoning, English and Mathematics. Candidates have an informal interview and we will request a reference from their current school. If you apply for a Year 7 place after the Entrance Examination date, places may be available for suitable candidates and an Assessment Day may be arranged. Students from Junior School are generally able to transfer to Senior School without taking the Entrance Exam. If spaces are available, students may be admitted into Years 8, 9 and 10 subject to a satisfactory performance on assessment papers, and all prospective students are offered a taster day with peers. Sixth Form admissions require a minimum of 7 GCSE passes at A*-B (or 9-6) including English and Maths at grade 5 or above, with individual consideration if not meeting the requirements. Scholarships and Awards are available in various categories, including Academic, Music, Art & Design, Drama and Sport, with a Head’s Scholarship for outstanding all‑round ability. Open events, tours and enquiries are handled by the Admissions Manager.
