I.M.A.G.I.N.E. values (including accepting everyone, ensuring every child feels valued, respected and celebrated)

Head Teacher's Message

I am incredibly proud to be the Headteacher of Holly Spring Primary School. We are an inclusive, nurturing and inspiring community where every child is encouraged to grow and achieve their best, and we were named ‘School of the Year’ at the Pride of Bracknell Forest awards in 2025.

Facilities

Forest learning area Large playing field Sensory garden Two playgrounds Extensive outside learning area (EYFS) Nursery with up to 39 morning and 39 afternoon spaces

Curriculum Highlights

The curriculum follows the national curriculum. Phonics is prioritized when children join the school to support reading development. Key vocabulary is identified and taught, with a focus on the etymology of words. Curriculum is knowledge-rich and coherently sequenced from EYFS to Year 6 with retrieval practice to embed learning. Explicit connections between subjects and opportunities for hands-on experiences, trips and visitors. Pedagogy is research-led, with staff training using Tom Sherrington’s Walkthrus and Rosenshine’s Principles, and sharing good practice via IRIS technology. The I.M.A.G.I.N.E. values are integrated with the curriculum.
