Welcome to Greenleas School. The Head Teacher invites you to contact the Office Team with questions, join school tours, view virtual visits and explore the Admissions section. The weekly newsletter is sent via the App, a short film called 'What Makes Greenleas Great!' is available, and the Derwent Road site opened in 1986 as part of Greenleas' two-site history; the school serves Leighton Buzzard families with child-centred early education for ages 2–5 across two sites.
Breakfast Club 7:30-8:45 for Early Years Pre-Reception to Year 4; After School Club 3:30-4:30 (Session One) and 4:30-5:30 (Session Two); lunch included; including lunch, the school is open 6.75 hours per day (33.75 hours per week).
Greenleas operates from two sites (Kestrel Way and Derwent Road) supplying Pre-school (2 years+), Pre-Reception (3½ years+) and Lower School provision; children can attend Pre-school and Pre-Reception before starting Reception Year; normal admission to Lower School in September following the fourth birthday; admissions policy includes criteria for Pre-school and Pre-Reception, arrangements for pupils with disabilities, In Year transfers and appeals.
Lunch costs £2.66 per day. If entitled to Free School Meals you will not need to pay via the School Grid but you are required to make a daily meal selection for your child. This includes all children from reception to Year 2 who receive Universal Free School Meals, as well as any child entitled to Free School Meals.
