Headteacher Hilary Wheeldon describes The Mary Bassett Lower School as a welcoming, inclusive school with a central location in Leighton Buzzard. From September 2024 The Mary Bassett Nursery will be open from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. Breakfast is provided 8:00–8:30am. Lunches can be ordered online, and a fruit/vegetable snack is provided during 4:00–6:00pm.
The Mary Bassett Lower School follows the reforms of the Code of Practice (2014) and Central Bedfordshire’s Graduated Response guidance.
