"Believe, Belong, Become"
Frenchay Primary School prides ourselves on being an inclusive school. We value the contribution that every child and young person can make to the community and welcomes the diversity of culture, religion and intellectual style. The school seeks to raise the achievement, remove barriers to learning and increase physical and curricular access for all its pupils. All children and young people with SEND are valued, respected and are equal members of the school. As such, provision for pupils with SEND is a matter for the school as a whole. All teachers are teachers of pupils with SEND. The governing body, Headteacher, SENCO and all other members of staff have important responsibilities.
Welcome to Frenchay CofE Primary School. The Headteacher (Mrs N Dawson) invites you to join an ambitious, successful and inclusive church school. The school offers a holistic, child-centred approach with a curriculum that links learning from the past to inform the future, provides high quality pastoral care, and aims to enable lifelong learners who are curious, resilient and globally minded.
SEND provision is managed by the school. The SENCO is Mrs Tracey Pakrooh; contact via phone 01454 511004 or [email protected]. Mrs Pakrooh works with the school on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The school references the SEND Information Report (23-24) and the South Gloucestershire Local Offer for SEND information.
South Gloucestershire Local Authority (LA) determines the school’s admissions. The standard number is 30 pupils per year group; this year the school has 2 Reception classes (total around 240 pupils). The LA operates a “rising fives” policy (4 by 31 August generally start in September). Applications are online or via the LA, with notification of places in April the following year. Parents are advised to contact the school to arrange a visit, and if moving into the area during the year, should apply to the LA admissions department.
