Information extracted from the school's own website
I am delighted to welcome all visitors to our website. Hebburn Comprehensive aims to raise aspirations and embed ambition in all of our young people, with core values of working hard, being kind and aspiring to be the very best you can be. We want pupils to feel safe and happy, to achieve exceptional outcomes, and to develop strong moral principles which allow them to make ambitious life choices. Standards of achievement are already high, and we continue to provide challenge and support, working with parents and carers to raise achievement further and to enhance our pupils’ life chances for the future.
Clubs
Being a maintained school, admissions to Hebburn Comprehensive, at the normal point of transfer, are undertaken by South Tyneside Local Authority (link below). Outside of that time, parents are asked to make written applications to the Local Authority, whose staff will then liaise with the school. After applications have been received, we will make contact with parents and carers to discuss arrangements for admission mid-year. This will normally be done by Mrs Burdis, Assistant Head Teacher.
