Gosforth East Middle School is fully inclusive with a dedicated SENCo and Learning Support Assistants; it works with the Attendance Officer, School Nurse and external agencies including the Educational Psychology Service and SENTASS; the school also buys in a counsellor to support emotional or mental health difficulties, relationships, bereavements and self-esteem issues.
