Welcome message from Headteacher Mollie McCracken describing Shade as GOLDEN (Generous, Open-Minded, Limitless, Diligent, Enthusiastic, Neighbourly) and outlining aims to provide a happy, secure and stimulating learning environment where pupils become confident, independent learners and are supported by a collaborative school–family–community relationship.
Clubs
Breakfast Club runs 7:10–8:45 and costs £6 per child; there is an option to book all mornings in a week for £25 (saving £5). After-school Club runs 3:30–6:00 (with a 3:30–5:00 option); prices are £8 per child for 3:30–5:00 or £10 for 3:30–6:00, with an option to book all afternoons in a week for £45 (saving £5). Children are offered breakfast on arrival and a healthy 'snack-tea' during the after-school session.
Shade provides SEND provision with a One Page Profile (first tier) and a SEND Support Plan (second tier), with progression to an EHCP if needed. The school liaises with speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and the community paediatric team. The SENDCo is referenced in the staff information.
