Head Teacher's Message

Headteacher Duncan Hetherington describes Castle Hill as a friendly, open school serving Todmorden, currently in a temporary site in Centre Vale Park with plans to move to a new building in November 2026. He notes the school’s five simple rules (Be safe, Be respectful, Be ready, Be honest, Be kind) and a broad, balanced curriculum, with an ethos focused on supporting every child to reach their potential.

Wraparound Care

After-School Care: Yes

Wrap-around care available before and after school; funded sessions from 7:30am to 5:30pm; Full Nursery day 8:50am–3:15pm; Morning Nursery session 8:50am–12:00pm; Afternoon Nursery session 12:00pm–3:15pm; Additional sessions can be booked at £15 per session; All children aged three and four are entitled to 15 hours of funded nursery education; since September 2022, 30 hours funded education for all nursery children.
