"Encourage, Enrich, Enable"
Riddlesden St Mary’s CE Primary School is proud to be a church school. Rooted in the Christian faith and embracing all within the community, we encourage, enrich and enable everyone to be the best they can be. Collective Worship is an integral part of daily life at Riddlesden St Mary's; it is inclusive, invitational and inspirational, offering everyone a safe space to 'be'. RE teaching and learning and the school vision are underpinned by Christian ethos.
I am incredibly proud to be the Headteacher at St Mary's, working with a highly skilled and dedicated team of teachers and support staff to provide an exciting, inclusive and challenging curriculum. The school is a two-form entry primary with nursery and two-year-old provision. Our strap line 'Encourage, Enrich, Enable' underpins our Christian ethos and we strive to help our children to reach their full potential in all areas of the curriculum.
The school provides SEND support through a dedicated SENDCo, a nurture provision (The Hive) and a specialist SEN provision (The Bungalow). It follows the Bradford Local Offer with a graduated approach, uses intervention plans (provision maps and pen portraits), and may involve external professionals (SCIL team, SALT, educational psychologists, etc). It also has a Vision Friendly School status for visually impaired pupils and a VI team with specialised staff.
Admissions for 2 and 3-year-olds are managed by the school via early years admissions (email [email protected] or online form). Admissions for school-aged children are managed by the Local Authority (Bradford Council) via 01274 439200, [email protected], or their website; a step-by-step guide is available.
