Ethos & Values

"Through the love of God, we protect our school community. Together we trust, hope, persevere and flourish on life's great adventure."

St Paul’s is a Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School with strong links to its local church. The Christian values of loving God and loving one another are reflected in worship and the daily life of the school.

Head Teacher's Message

The Headteacher states pride in the school, describes a loving, caring community and emphasizes forming trusting relationships with pupils and families to ensure everyone can be their best, with a focus on developing physical, academic, emotional and social skills to thrive.

Wraparound Care

After-School Care: Yes

Wraparound childcare is the term used by the Government to describe childcare provided outside standard school hours, before and after-school and during term time. The National Wraparound Childcare Programme is part of the childcare reforms introduced by the Government, which aims to make wraparound childcare available to all primary school-aged children from 8am to 6pm, every school day during term time.

SEND Provision

St Paul’s SEND: Miss Briggs coordinates SEND; there are dedicated spaces around the school for pastoral support or time out. The Equality Act 2010 requires us to publish information about our duties. We publish the SEN information report (2024), Bradford Matrix Of Need, our local offer (November 2024), and the SEND Policy. Other related provisions include the Intimate Care Policy and Supporting pupils with medical conditions.

Admissions Criteria

St Paul’s Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School is a one form entry voluntary aided school where governors are responsible for admissions. Children are usually admitted into the Reception class in September of the school year in which they will be five. The school aims to nurture and promote achievement in a caring Christian environment, and invites applications from all families regardless of faith.
