Love Care Inclusion

Our RE curriculum follows the Believing and Belonging West Yorkshire Agreed Syllabus, which is locally agreed by the Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE). It explores the six major world religions and non-religious worldviews, learning about religion (knowledge and understanding) and from religion (personal reflection and response).

The message highlights an inspiring, challenging, and supportive curriculum and the school’s core values of love, care, and inclusion, with emphasis on partnerships with parents and the local community.

Curriculum Highlights

Computing curriculum designed to equip pupils to navigate a digital world; Teach Computing scheme developed by the National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE) and aligned with the National Curriculum. Mathematics curriculum follows the White Rose Maths scheme, aligned with the National Curriculum for Mathematics and underpinned by Mastery. PSHE curriculum uses the SCARF scheme of work; themes include Safety, Caring, Achievement, Resilience, and Friendship. Religious Education follows the Believing and Belonging West Yorkshire Agreed Syllabus (SACRE). Geography curriculum uses Kapow Primary planning and resources, with enquiry-led units and fieldwork. Art and Design, Design and Technology, Geography, History, and other subjects follow Kapow Primary schemes. Reading uses Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised alongside Big Cat reading materials; phonics and decodable reading books. Phonics uses Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised; regular reading practice and assessments are in place.
