Curriculum Highlights

Five key drivers underpin all aspects of the curriculum: Innovation, Experience, Culture, Community and Aspiration (embodying the school motto Lifelong Learning). A language-rich curriculum designed to develop better reasoning, inference and pragmatic abilities, including teaching at least 400 new words per year group. A progression across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with a cumulative approach to teaching that builds on skills and knowledge. Lessons are part of an ongoing learning process rather than events, with learning extending over days or weeks. Clear differentiation to meet learners' needs while enabling cross-curricular connections between subjects. Pupils are assessed using pre- and post-learning questions, with progress statuses such as Working Towards, On Track, or On Track for the Higher Standard.
