Pupils are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, all people living in England are subject to its law.
Mrs Peart welcomes visitors and describes Sitwell as a larger than average infant school with capacity for 222 children, diverse and multi-cultural with over 20 languages represented. The building features state-of-the-art touch screens, laptops and 15 iPads, and a large hall. The Foundation Stage outdoor learning space is well equipped. The school holds several awards, including Parent Charter Gold and ArtsMark Gold. Visitors are invited to arrange a tour.
Clubs
Foundation 1 (Nursery) admissions: Children can take up a part-time (15 hours) or a full-time (30 hours) place in Foundation 1 (Nursery) at the start of the term after their 3rd birthday. If your child's birthday is between 1st April-31st Aug they can start in September (after Summer holidays). If your child's birthday is between 1st Sept-31 Dec they can start in January (after Christmas holidays). If your child's birthday is between 1st Jan-31 March they can start in April (after Easter holidays). Admissions to our nursery are dealt with by the school reception staff. Please contact us by phone (01709 531855) or email ([email protected]) to discuss attendance. The form to complete for your child to attend our nursery is Nursery Application Form. Please print out, complete and return it to the school office. Alternatively, you can collect a paper copy from reception. We ask that parents complete and return this as soon as possible so that your child can be added to our waiting list.
