Nick Vernon describes APS as a dynamic, modern, non-selective school with broad opportunities and excellent academic outcomes. Sports
Wraparound care is provided before and after school. Before School Care runs 8:00–8:30 (4 per day) and 8:15–8:30 (2 per day). After School Care is location-specific and includes Bank Place (Pre-School & Reception), Highbury (Year 1–2), and Marlborough Road (Year 3–6) with defined sessions and prices (e.g., 3:20–4:30, 3:20–6:00, and after-club options with high tea). Ad hoc bookings are available and invoicing is handled termly or per session. The service is run by APS staff in dedicated wraps around care facilities. APS is a non-selective school that accepts boys from age 2 up to 11. It aims to prepare boys for a range of secondary destinations, including Trafford grammar schools and leading independent schools, and provides ongoing support to families throughout the secondary transition process.
Fees are invoiced termly prior to the start of each term. Registration fee £60 (non-refundable on waiting list). Deposit £500 (refundable on leaving, subject to terms). Means-tested bursaries are available. Wraparound care charges apply for Before and After School Care. After School Care invoices are sent half-termly; other charges are invoiced end of term. Government Tax-Free Childcare is accepted for under-5s; Childcare Vouchers accepted up to the term in which a boy turns 5, with restrictions on combining schemes. Wraparound Care details include prices for Before School Care and After School Care across locations (Bank Place, Highbury, Marlborough Road).
