Lady Barn House School has its origins in Christian roots, but welcomes children of all faiths and beliefs. Lady Barn uses a 3-wave approach to SEND: Universal quality teaching from the form teacher; Targeted short-term provision to remove obstacles; Specific targeted one-to-one or small group interventions outside the classroom, with accessibility aids and technology used as appropriate.
Lady Barn accepts applications year-round with a partially selective policy; mixed-ability; no catchment area. Nursery and Reception offers commence about 12 and 11 months in advance respectively; Prep 1–Prep 6 offers are more fluid and year-round. An application requires a £70 non-refundable fee and an Acceptance Deposit of £500 to secure a place. Waiting lists exist for all year groups. Overseas applicants may apply; tests and visits are part of the process.
